Everything in life is a choice.

Eat that second piece of cake or choose something healthy?

Big or small?

Here or there?

Now or later?

When it comes to working with big companies, there are certainly times when it’s probably a great choice, when phone shopping, for instance. Do you get the REAL iPhone or the knock off? Everyone knows the answer to that!  But, when does it make sense to go with the little guy?  Let’s look at two instances when it is a benefit to choose small!

#1: You’re unique and want something out of the ordinary

Recently, there has been a trend to shop small, local businesses. Food is a big one that comes to mind.  Many new bakeries, juice bars, food trucks, and restaurants are popping up all over Kansas City and the rest of the country.

These awesome places offer style, recipes, services and an experience that you just can’t get at larger chains.  The same is true with locally based shops, and boutiques.  The have designs, products and atmosphere that larger chain stores often times are lacking.

And let’s not forget service companies.  You can get friendly, knowledgeable and specialized help that you desperately need at competitive prices in so many cases! Whether you’re needing a plumber, realtor, web designer, towing or… yes, even a cleaning service, you can find something to fit your unique needs.

#2 You’re special and valuable and deserve to be treated that way

When I was in high school and going to college part-time, I worked at a major franchised fast food restaurant. We had a gentleman who would come to the drive-thru at the same time everyday (you could even set an alarm to it). One day, a new employee got his order wrong. (These things happen..) Well, the customer wasn’t very polite about it. When the Manager stepped in to handle it, she said something that never really sat right with me. She flat out told the gentleman that it didn’t really matter what he said today, because he’d be back again tomorrow…

It seems that national companies can treat their customers like that, because they have so many that losing one is no big deal. Besides, he/she is hooked and will back again tomorrow. Yes, the customer was upset but he still did not deserve to be treated the way he was.  He was a regular and had spent A LOT of money at their establishment.  Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the thought of giving my hard earned money to a company that doesn’t really care how their customers are treated and that doesn’t value my business.  This is an advantage to hiring a local small business.  Your business is literally what is keeping the lights on and food on the table.  Your business is valued and in many cases small business owners will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy with their products and services.

Of course we can’t speak for all local cleaning companies, but in our business, our clients are our life-blood, we value each and every home and business-owner that we provide service to.  On the rare (seriously, practically non-existent) occasion that an issue arises, instead of being treated like just another replaceable number, our clients are treated as irreplaceable, with respect and can rest easy knowing that we will do everything we can to fix any issue as quickly and efficiently as possible.  We are able to give this kind of attention because we aren’t over-whelmed by thousands of customers.  We are more interested in delivering quality over quantity.  We PERSONALLY train our employees on the job.  This is time well spent, making sure that they understand the standard they are expected to uphold.  We have the time to do things right from the beginning which means fewer issues later on.  And not only do we have the time but we WANT TO MAKE OUR CLIENTS HAPPY!  We consider our clients a part of our extended family in many cases and become great friends with them. We’ve had clients buy us Christmas gifts and invite us to their weddings. Would you do that for the big guys?

We personalize each and every quote and cleaning experience to give our clients exactly what they need because they are special and special to us.  If you’re not being treated as a valued, special and unique individual, please call us and let us show you what you’ve been missing!

We’re here to help,
Matt
